Escape Wildfires - Learn to Evacuate!

If you live in Southern California, you live in wildfire country. At various times during the year, but notably during the fall, the winds change from the coast and blow from the desert. These "Santa Ana" winds bring heat and turbulent gusts of up to 80mph or more. It's as close to a hurricane without the National Weather Service slapping the label on. Although your home may seem safe and secure when you walk outside each morning, the treat of wildfires is significant.
Watch Evacuate and save a life!
The key to surviving a wind-driven wildfire is being prepared. Know what to do if you're away from home when you hear your neighborhood is going up in flames. To increase your chances of survival, you'll need to earn how to take care of your family, your pets, and how to protect your home. It isn't difficult, but it requires care and thought. There are things you can do at home, not to mention things you should know about those who are not close to your home, but can help you nontheless.
