Firing Up Our Future

We're excited to announce our first annual fund-raising drive. With the completion of our memorial plaza and the Fallen Firefighters Memorial, the LAFDHS needs your support more than ever. The preservation of the Ralph J. Scott, maintenance of the memorial plaza, and important restoration and improvement projects for the Hollywood museum (including new electrical, plumbing, etc.), mean we're in need of your support more than ever before.

The Firing Up Our Future capital campaign will help us in key areas. Overall, our new mission includes:

TO PRESERVE

• Rehabilitation of Old Fire Boat No. 2, the Ralph J. Scott
• Exhibits at our museum facilities in Hollywood & San Pedro
• Our Research Library, which includes thousands of photographs and artifacts

TO CELEBRATE

• Maintaining our Fallen Firefighters Memorial
• The Fire Service through special community events
• The History of the LAFD (via film, books, and other media)

The LAFDHS will enhance and expand the museums that preserve our unique history, celebrate the lives of those who have fallen in service and serve as a hub of activity that supports the education and outreach efforts so crucial to our mission.
